Yatashi: Part 7.5
Yatashi Log 7.5
OOC Discussion & Unlogged IC Events between Scenes
It was around here that the war was conceived of. Yatashi
originally went after Tiffany in order to obtain an artifact she
carries, known as the Mor. It's not exactly something Tiffany can
use ... it's pretty much the other way around. Tiffany was
created to be its guardian. In the original gaming universe from which
Tiffany comes, its function was never known, but the big guess was that
it destroyed universes. Typical kind of thing for an Elder God to keep
around.
I don't know if it works on non-Lovecraftian universes ... that is,
those that aren't themselves part of an Elder God. But, in any case,
Yatashi had planned to use it as a threat. With Constantine, he could
use it surgically ... Trump into any part of Father he wanted, and blow
up Shadows. He could have destroyed Yog-Sothoth, or forced it into
submission, and it would have all been entirely offscreen and
pointless. There's no point in running a plot without people to
involve.
And so I had the following idea: if Yog-Sothoth was born of the
Logrus- enhanced sorcery of a mad but fairly competent Chaosite, then
somewhere in the mass of Shadows that make it up are the runes and
blood-scribings that created it and gave it its identity. The anchors
of Yog-Sothoth's mind, as it were. And even with the power to destroy,
Yatashi could not change these. But with an army, and the aid of
Advanced Trump, he could hold those points and as a sorcerer rewrite
them. This let me bring in the people as a whole. I thought I could
make the conflict fun for all involved. I didn't, at least in part
because it didn't ever happen.
While I worked out how this is going to happen, circumstances
provoke some small measure of action.
