one last day of august
I couldn't find the Escaflowne CDs in the two minutes I spent looking this morning, but I did remember to grab the SuperS soundtrack and a Fukami Rica (seiyuu for Sailor Venus) CD, as well as the two Robert Miles CDs I was thinking of yesterday. Right now I'm listening to the SuperS music, which is nicer than I expected. I mostly wanted it for the villain's attack music, but I'm liking a lot of the other tracks as well. Why isn't the match server updating? It knows perfectly well that it should be. Stupid bug. |
ima sugu aitai yo!
I'm back from a marvelous long lunch with Angie, which was (as with all lunches with Angie) filled with lots of talking and good food and some nice emotional stuff. Angie's got an incredible amount of energy, and she's very sincere, so conversations with her always pack an intense emotional punch. I love it; it feels so much more real than so many of the people I know. The only lunch downside was semi-accidentally buying a $35 bag of orchid oolong tea. It smelled wonderful, and I'd seen something else labelled $5.95 and assumed that was the price for all the 100g bags, and didn't realised I was wrong until the somewhat rude woman at the store had already packed it for me. Still, as Angie said, "It'll probably be really good tea!". Ah hah! The match server was actually updating; I just wasn't paying attention to the right things. One more bug fixed, one more file checked in. Now I ought to be dealing with the part of my clever idea from yesterday which involves changing the JSP template so that QA can tell which version of the internal tool they're testing. But oh, that would require thought, and I don't want to think that hard right now. Still, I'm happier the more work I get done, so I guess I should start poking around the file and trying to figure what I would need to add where. I've switched CDs, from SuperS to Fukami Rica. SuperS was very dreamy (which makes sense, given the themes of the season); Fukami Rica so far alternates between very bouncy fifties-feeling stuff and slow heartbreak songs. Oh, and now that song that goes "I'm your Venus, I'm your fire...", which amuses me to no end. I definitely need to get more jpop. |
