Trip has sucked me into BattleFaeries, which is a very simplistic, very addictive little multi-player web game. I have five faeries, all named with Japanese words ending in -i: Tenshi (angel), Hoshi (star), Yami (darkness), Ai (love) and Zettai (absolute). It's absolutely meaningless and very, very fun for reasons which escape me. While waiting for the (unfortunately very slow) pages to load, I'm continuing to read Liralen's old journal, marvelling at all the emotions it calls up for me. I wish I'd known her better back when she was still living in Seattle and was visiting regularly. She has such an interesting way of seeing the world... it would have been nice to have some shared real-life experiences to talk about.

Not a very exciting entry, but I'm just so busy it's hard to write or do much of anything. FLTD this weekend, then lots of travelling, then back for a few days, then another round of travelling. I anticipate the vacations eagerly, but I also anticipate January, when things will settle down.
