Music

Most of my car listening is to KFOG in San Francisco and San Jose, alternating with various mix tapes given to my by friends, when the current radio mix begins to pall, though they're pretty good at being varied. When I'm tired of the mix tapes again, I switch the radio back on.

Music Reviews

I've sorted these both in chronological order, by when I wrote the review, and by artist.

Though I'm almost completely ignorant about how music is made, hopefully what I lack in technical knowledge I can make up for with enthusiasm; I buy a great deal of music, spend a large amount of time listening to it, and enjoy it immensely. My tastes can probably be described as "eclectic." That might be a polite way of saying "musical gourmand."

So, with some effort towards introspection on just why I like some music, I'm going to attempt a series of reviews based on what I've brought in to work as motivational soundtracks. This will tend to slant the samples; some albums are too distracting or too sleepy to help me concentrate at work, or fail to load on the CD player attached to my workstation.

Since they're also albums I actually like listening to, they're going to be almost universally good reviews. I'll try to analyze why I think each album is worth listening to.
