Quiet Day

Full day of meetings today.

The only relief was a beef curry I got for lunch. Only problem with it was that the onions and potatoes in it were under cooked. I don't like crunchy potatoes. The coconut based curry was very fine and very rich, and the curry itself was just gorgeous in taste, but I hated the vegetables. I will have to make some better stuff sometime.

John was off doing training. He's gone today through Friday and then on Saturday he's flying to France for a week to work with the people out there. Bah.

Anyway... he drove, went to his class, came back to pick me up after the grueling day.

I got to talk with Geoff a little between the end of the meetings and the end of the day and it was short, sweet and very reassuring and useful.

John and I were so tired we just drove off to Safeway, looked at whatever was on special and found rib steaks for 2.99 a pound. We bought a one pound steak and took it home with us to sear, bake and then serve with mashed potatoes and veggies. Simple, quick, clean and quiet.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was on, the original movie that is, not the TV show. I loved it so much originally, and now that I've seen the show, I think I love the movie even more for it's campiness, it's lovely, lovely one-liners ("I am the Chosen one and *I* choose to go shopping!") and most of all for how little seriousness it had in itself. Really made the series seem like a big load of teenage angst blown so far out of proportion it was weird. I love, love, loved the movie. Wow.

Sleep was good
