A full year of stuff.
Started with a new piercing of my tragus, then an accident on the soccer field that took up a good half a year, first in getting through all the antics and medical juggling necessary to get the knee fixed because we were working through all the throes of Minc Inc. having bought Synario out of Data I/O.
A good solid summer of real engineering work and a few visits here and there including many great gaming visits to San Jose, Carl Rigney, Gretchen, Trip and the Horde. Creative fun that was paralleled by plenty of on-line gaming with Genevieve Cogman's Fiat crew.
The mechanical fix of the knee had to be fed lots of attention, care and, well, honestly, masochistic pain, to get better and physical therapy took a lot of my attention and time. It also made the knee better, along with the leg around it.
The year ended with a whirlwind of travel and then the surprise of Xilinx Inc. buying the whole group of us and starting the new adventures of the new year with the prospect of moving from the Great NorthWet to the sunny environs of Boulder, Colorado.
It's been quite a year for changes.
